Online gambling is the term used to describe gambling activities done online using the Internet. Among the gambling activities available in the internet are: online poker, sports betting, online bingo, online casinos, and mobile gambling. Online gambling sites, called online rooms, offer tournaments where people play against other people, and not against a computer opponent. The owners of the online rooms get their earnings from this setup when they take a certain percentage from each pot.

FullTiltPoker.com, another site offering online poker has just announced the start of their seventh online poker mega-series tournament, which is set to offer 20 big events with a prize pool of US $10 million.

 Online sports betting is also included in the list of big online gambling activities. In this gambling type, “bookmakers” do the betting exchanges over the Internet and winning is based on the results of a chosen sporting event.

 Online bingo, on the other hand, offers the same bingo game played offline by many participants. A lot of online bingo rooms can now be found on the Internet.

 Online casinos, or virtual casinos, are the online versions of their traditional counterparts. Online casino players can play and wager on the different online casino games. These online casinos can be further divided into three different groups on the basis of their interface: web-based casinos, download-based casinos, and more recently, live casinos.
