When it comes to online casinos or land-based casinos, Blackjack is, by far, the easiest game to understand. That being said, it’s also the game that can take the longest to master. The basic rules to Blackjack are very simple. You want your cards to equal up to 21. As long as you know these rules, you can play this game and have a pretty good success rate. However, you do not want a good success rate, you want a great one. That is why we are going to go over a tip that could help you!
The first thing to remember is that you cannot win 100% of the time. This does not just go for Blackjack! The only way to do that is to count cards, and this might have the casino think you are doing something that is illegal. The best tip that you can have when it comes to playing blackjack is to never split your 10′s! There are other tips in blackjack, but this is one that gets overlooked the most, meaning that you will have a trick that not many people know about.
To understand this rule, you have to know what splitting is. When you get two of the same card, you can split your cards and add some ante. Let’s say that you have two threes. You choose to split them and add some more cash to the pot. Now you are playing two hands at once. Both of them have threes as your starting card. From here, you just play as you normally would. However, you have the chance of winning with two hands now. This gives you better odds that at least one hand will be a winning one.
So why should you never split the 10′s? Pretty much because your chances of getting two aces to make 21 for both hands are pretty low. Normally you are going to end up with cards that either make you bust or a card that does not get you close enough to 21. Let’s say that you split 10′s and in one hand you get a five as your first card. Now you are siting on 15 in the first hand. The house tells you that you are going to have to hit. Anything above a seven is going to make you bust. As you can see, when you split 10′s, you are really asking not to win the game. You are either going to come up too high or not close enough to win the game.
